Matt Karol

Matt Karol is a venture investor, producer, and lawyer. Since 2015 he has backed more than 40 early-stage companies — generalist by design, from AI and fintech to health, robotics, and consumer. The portfolio includes multiple exits and companies valued above $1B.

He graduated from McGill University Faculty of Law at 22 and began his career in the M&A group at Stikeman Elliott, Canada's leading corporate law firm.

In parallel, Matt produces and finances film and television — including projects with Asa Butterfield, Jaeden Martell, Tyrese Gibson, and Billy Zane — and advises early-stage companies on capital strategy, governance, and partnerships.
